Right now, not enough of our youth have access to STEAM learning opportunities, and too few students see science and math disciplines as springboards for their careers. Increasing and sustaining public and youth engagement with STEAM education is imperative to prepare youth for 21st century careers, particularly with students of color, girls and young women, and students from low-income and rural communities. Access to more STEAM learning will ensure they have the skills they need to succeed at high-demand careers and continue growing their local economy.
Creating STEAM programs is not enough. STEAM Builder is also committed to increasing exposure by procuring resources to provide students who need financial, and transportation assistance an opportunity to access STEAM education.
